Homemade tomato sauce

If you’ve never made tomato sauce before, this is the recipe for you. Creating your own homemade tomato sauce is much easier than you think. Follow these simple steps to make a delicious and versatile sauce that you can use in various dishes. We used ours on pizza and the next day added heavy cream and butter for a delicious tomato soup.



Ingredients:

  • 15-30 garden tomatoes

  • 3 large carrots

  • handful of basil

  • 6 garlic cloves

  • 1 TBSP Italian seasoning

  • salt


Instructions:

  1. Roughly chop all the ingredients and add them into a pot over medium-high heat.

  2. The tomatoes will start to release their juices as you let the mixture simmer for 1-2 hours, stirring or mashing periodically.

  3. After 1-2 hours, use an immersion blender to make the sauce smooth and creamy.

  4. Add your seasonings to taste. I added 1 TBSP Italian seasoning, 1 TBSP 🍃decarbed bud and a 1 tsp garlic powder.

  5. If the sauce needs to thicken, continue cooking on low heat until desired consistency is reached.


🍃Infused Tip:

Turn your sauce into an instant edible by incorporating decarbed THC or CBD flower with your seasonings. Utilize a spice grinder for a fine blend or do what I do and crumble the flower between your fingers. Decarbed flower will be dry and crumbly and should sprinkle easily by hand.


So often people waste time infusing into this or that but you lose potency every time you do that. Adding decarbed flower to your recipes is always going to be the best bang for your buck and where you will be able to utilize every cannabinoid. Enjoy🍃
